Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to any trip booked with La Plage En Soie (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking a trip with La Plage En Soie, you (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “traveler”) acknowledge that you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older, able bodied and fully independent.
  • Understand and accept these terms and conditions.
  • Are entering into a contractual relationship with La Plage En Soie.
  • Agree to release and waive any liability and any risks involved in the entire journey from La Plage En Soie.
Price Policy, Trip Deposit, Invoicing & Final Payments

All trip prices are as posted on our website at the time of booking and do not include airfare to the destination. If internal flights are included, this will be clearly stated on the website. Prices are per person based on shared occupancy. Single rooms may be available at an additional cost. Prices are subject to change before booking. A non-refundable, fully transferable (once only) deposit per person is required to secure your space. Final payment or payment in full is due by the date specified by us. Payments can be made online via transfer or credit card.

Confirmation of your deposit indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. After receiving your deposit, we will confirm your booking and advise when to book your flight. If you fail to make a payment by the due date, we may cancel your reservation and if we do your spot may be assigned to the next eligible traveler on the waitlist without any refund to you.

Each traveler is responsible for verifying booking information and notifying us of any errors. We may cancel your booking if final payment is not received by the due date, typically two months before the trip starts.

Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to any aspect of the trip (activities, services, accommodations, itinerary) if necessary due to hazardous conditions, third-party issues, commercial reasons, or adverse weather conditions. No refunds will be given for such changes.

Cancellations/Refunds

By La Plage En Soie: We believe in being transparent with our customers. Our goal is to provide you with an exceptional travel experience, and we are committed to delivering on all promises made regarding your trip. If, for any reason, we fail to deliver any part of the trip as stipulated in the trip description due to a fault on our part, we will issue a full refund for the affected portion of your trip or for the whole trip if not delivered .In the extremely rare event that we are unable to complete your entire trip, we will provide you with a full refund. However, trip cancellations are highly unlikely due to our reliable backup team. 

By You: Cancellations must be in writing and emailed to us. A refund minus payment fees will be issued if cancellation is received more than 60 days before departure. Cancellations within 60 days of the trip will forfeit all payments. Transfer requests are accepted at any time .You are responsible for finding a transferee for the trip.

Health & Safety Eligibility

You represent that you are over 18, in good physical and mental health, and capable of participating in the trip. You must disclose any medical conditions to us after consulting with your doctor. If you have doubts about your fitness, cease participation and seek medical attention. We strongly encourage purchasing travel insurance. We reserve the right to refuse participation due to health or safety concerns.

Assumption of Risk

You understand the risks involved in travel and physical activities, including injury, death, property damage,or loss of property and political, cultural, and geographical challenges. You assume full responsibility for these risks and will not hold us liable.

Injury

You assume all financial obligations for any medical costs incurred due to injury during the trip. We are not liable for any losses or liabilities arising from your participation.

Waiver of Liability and Release

You release, waive, discharge, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue us for any claims, demands, actions, or losses arising from your participation in the trip. We recommend obtaining travel insurance to cover potential liabilities.

Not Included in the Trip Price

Unless otherwise noted, the following are not included in the trip price: airfare, airline baggage fees, passports, visas, vaccinations, tips, optional excursions, and personal expenses. We are not responsible for issues with air travel or additional expenses incurred due to missed flights or connections. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover these expenses.

Insurance

We recommend purchasing travel/medical insurance. By making any payment to us, you acknowledge this recommendation. We are not responsible for any losses incurred.

Language

All tour directors, local hosts, and guides speak English. Travelers should be able to speak, read, and understand English.

Authority to Remove or Refuse Travelers

We may refuse or remove travelers who are a danger to themselves or others, engage in disruptive behavior, or fail to follow our directives. We will not refund any portion of the price for travelers who are refused or removed and will recover any costs incurred.

Special Assistance Travelers

Notify us if you require special assistance due to a disability. If we cannot accommodate your needs, we may cancel your booking or terminate the trip. You must be able to independently participate in trip activities or bring a companion to assist you. We are not responsible for missed activities due to inability to participate.

Visas, Passports, and Other Documentation

You must obtain a passport and all necessary visas and health documentation. We are not liable if you are refused entry into any country. Non-U.S. citizens must consult appropriate consulates. Refer to the U.S. State Department website for passport and visa requirements.

Accommodations

We use various accommodations, including hotels and Airbnb. Shared room accommodations are provided unless single rooms are requested and available at an additional charge. Room preferences are not guaranteed.

 

After your payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation directly from the hotel, confirming your stay booked through us on your behalf.

Service Inquiries after the Trip

Report any complaints or claims within 3 days after the trip. Failure to do so forfeits any compensation or resolution.

Holidays

Planned activities may be unavailable on local or national holidays. If possible, we will offer an alternative activity. No refunds or discounts for cancelled events due to holidays.

Health, Safety, and Medical Insurance

We strive to provide a safe environment but cannot protect against all risks when traveling. You agree not to hold us liable for any harm suffered. Ensure you are aware of health requirements and vaccination documents. Refer to your government website for travel advice and vaccination requirements.

Photographs

Photos on our website are representations. By booking a trip, you grant us permission to use photos of you taken during the trip for marketing purposes without compensation. Photos may be made available to travelers at an additional cost.

Optional Excursions

Optional excursions are independent of our trip. We are not liable for any acts or omissions of third-party operators. Check their terms and conditions before booking.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi may not be available during the trip. We have no obligation to provide internet connectivity and make no representations about data security.

Privacy Policy

By using our website and booking a trip, you consent to our use of your personal information. We may transmit your information to third-party suppliers as necessary. Review our privacy policy for details.

Third-Party Providers

We act as an intermediary to provide trip services offered by third-party suppliers. We are not liable for any acts or omissions of these suppliers. If services cannot be supplied or changes are necessary, we will arrange comparable services.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, or expense caused by acts or omissions of other travelers, third-party providers, force majeure, or events beyond our control. Our liability is limited to the remedies required by applicable law.

Amendments

These terms and conditions may only be amended by an authorized representative of La Plage En Soie in writing. Check our website for the latest version before booking.

Payment via Klarna

If you opt to pay using Klarna, please be aware that we do not assume any responsibility for this payment method. The agreement and contractual obligations are strictly between you and Klarna. Our involvement is limited to the provision of services, and we do not participate in or influence the terms set forth by Klarna.
